Coin Grading Class at FUN

Last year was my first on this forum and I heard others talk about FUN last January. I decided I'd go to the event this coming January. To me numismatics is a hobby (not an investment opportunity), so I'm going for the fun of it (no pun intended, initially).
And part of the fun is to go deeper and learn. So it was a no-brainer to register myself for an ANA class - the one on grading circulated coins. Now I have no intentions of dealing coins, nor am I not into slabbed coins in the MS upper ranges. I just want to have fun learning about grading and the full range of circulated grades.
For those of you who have taken this ANA class, do you have any insights to share? Are there certain things I should know (or educated myself about) before I get to the class? Is it completely about US coins?
My strategy is about collecting what I intend to keep, not investing in what I plan to sell.

Read the introduction to the ANA Grading Guide and Grading Coins by Photographs. You'll have a better understanding of what's being taught.
I read the intro. I'm just interested in hearing any insights or comments about the class.

Having spent many years on this forum, and read posts by both experienced and new collectors regarding this class, I would say that the class has always (in all the posts I have read) received positive reports. While I have never had the opportunity to attend, I would if the chance presented. Cheers, RickO
The ANA grading and counterfeit detection classes are good.
