Roosevelt dime without cladding

Here is my 1969 Roosevelt dime which is missing the cladding on both side. I found it in a leave a penny take a penny tray when I was working at a gas station more than 10 years ago. I can't decide if it is a mint error or if the cladding was removed with acid. What do you think?

The cladding hasn't been removed. It's just dirty. Check the weight -- it's normal weight, or possibly even a little heavier due to the dirt.
Looks like it was dug up from the ground.
I agree, judging by the pic provided, just looks like a dirty cruddy dime.

Here we go
Environmental damage. Clad coins that have been buried can look like this. It's not a missing clad error
Actually it could be missing the clad layer. You can strip it off with nitric acid. Not an error, mind you, but if the weight is light it could be a stripped layer not a mint error.
The hair at 11ish appears orange-ish. Did that come from that tray, too?
The appearance of too much damage, maybe dirt, do not really believe you had it for 10 years and now took a pic to post to this forum.
Go spend it.
An opinion is worth however much you think it has value.
I’d exchange it at the gas station again
Looks to be a dime that has been in the ground....Check the weight and let us know. Cheers, RickO
Step 1: Take coin, go to garage, turn on wire wheel.
Step 2: wire wheel off all the crud until it is shiney
Step 3: Spend
