Eisenhower Peg Leg variety?

Is this Eisenhower variety actually collectible? I didn't even know they existed. Here's a pic of the "R" on my 1971 S Proof and 1972 S Proof.

    Some collect them and they are in IKE reference books. They don't do anything for me as they seem to be available unattributed. Nice time to buy the book and start collecting them on the cheap! Who knows, you may make some new discoveries.

    Interesting variety. I think Ikes will become more and more sought after, as the years roll on.

    Ike's are a nice coin...Under rated (IMO) by the collector community....I have several that I acquired over the years. Cheers, RickO

    The variety is from polishing the dies.
