1918/7 Buffalo nickel copper planchet? Help

I found this nickel searching through a jar of old coins I found in my attic from my childhood and I am aware of the 1918 / 17 nickel but I have never seen one this color. I have only been collecting coins for a couple of years and I'm not quite familiar with the copper planchet type and and a little advice would be helpful please as to what type of planchet this is. Thanks

Pictures would help.
@Chrisley
Your other thread you posted had a pic, so you know how to do it.

Weigh it. I guarantee it weighs the same as a nickel planchet. A little coppery color is not how you identify composition
Could be a metal detector find or the coin was in the ground
Without a pic from the OP’s then... THIS.
Your right she is a Beauty! Nice Tones.
We love a attic jar story.
Yep. Quite possible. I've seen "dark" nickels, including an Overdate that were in the ground for awhile.

Are you sure it didn't come out of an old safe, found in a dilapidated store front ?
@Chrisley ....Welcome aboard.... we will need pictures to give you any information/advice of substance. Cheers, RickO
Substance, yes.....................and also for our "substinance".

I'll bet it's corroded/enviornmental damage
