Anyone know anything about this PMC copper bar?

Anyone have knowledge about this copper bar marked PMC?

The dimensions are 5 1/2" x 2 7/8" x 1 3/8" , and it weighs about 6 1/2 pounds.

I was unable to find any similar examples in my searches. An internet search of "PMC copper mining" brings up Palabora Mining Company in South Africa, but I have no way to verify whether that is or isn't the same PMC on this bar.

I'm hoping something on this forum might have some copper / mining knowledge and insights beyond my simple internet searching.

Looks like some other markings present.
Now your quest begins.
I'd polish it, unless any other markings are found.
Is the minning conpany still active?
If so call them, but tippy toe your reason for calling.
Could belong to D.B. Cooper...Sry, but you know what I mean.

RickO, the big slash may have been intentional to see what it looked like under the surface.
