Who did it better? AC or Melville? Quick show reports
So this was a double play weekend with two small one day shows on our schedule...
This first show is almost a 4 hour drive so we went out the night before hmmm gets dark earlier nowadays
First up was Sat in Atlantic City (really Linwood NJ) but it is called the AC coin show.
This is a club show held twice a year. Pretty nice sized venue with a nice group of people from the club who go out of the way to help dealers set up.
It was a beautiful day on Saturday sunny and 70 which for a coin show always means light turnout
No exception but still a decent crowd. Here’s a pic of the show
Here are a few interesting so called dollars that we recently purchased
At both shows we received very positive vibes on our new line of certified Magic Tokens following the guidelines of the original TAMS publication from October 1978 which we call the Original 363 different listed pieces While we won’t officially be selling them until after FUN show here is a sneak peak. This is MT324 from 1929 Howard Thurston
If you saw my report on New Hampshire Show last week you saw a friendly dog Nash this week we feature one of the dealers dogs Stella
On our Sunday show in Long Island NY .... no dogs but a nice midday crowd. This show tends to be an early show by 1pm it’s pretty much over. Here’s a quick pic
Interesting today at the show was a very small auction house displaying their auction lots. That’s the first time we’ve seen this company and first time we’ve seen auction lots on display at this show. Sadly the material in the auction was really not that interesting but sure give them credit for trying. Actually sales were for us quite brisk. One of the better sale days for us but we did have a lot of fresh new material that is not usually seen at this show.
End note as I post this turned on the Jet Dallas game and felt like I was in alternative universe with Jets way up in the score. Considering I passed on Coach tickets to the game today guess that’s my Karma letting them finally win one. Have a great week
Next week we head to Florida to check out Sarasota show and perhaps Sun Ft Lauderdale show. Till next time. Have a great week

Thanks for the report(s).
**Actually sales were for us quite brisk. **
Good to see this, and good that there are still plenty of coin shows going on across the country.
I attended our monthly local show today here in FL.
Hopefully you will do well next week when you're down here.
Is that Ellen serving coffee in the first Atlantic City Photo?
I live a few miles away and have never attended the Melville show. Must remedy that someday. Thanks for the report.

nice to have two small shows to attend , but is that a twenty dollar bill on the floor by Stella the dog? nice so called dollar pick-ups by the way.
Thanks for the reports on local shows!
I'm a semi-regular at the Melville show; it's small but the vendors are nice and will spend time talking with collectors. I stop by every couple of months hoping to see newer material. Couldn't make this one but maybe next month!

So, you didn't answer your question - which show was better?
