I made a large submission of NGC coins to PCGS for crossover......I will post a few over time.

You might be wondering why I attempted to cross so many NGC coins.

My reasoning for this is that if both services gave the same grade or better ( + ) then I could be more confident about the coins grade and ask more when I sell.

Here is one that did...a top pop .......MS 67.

I manage money. I earn money. I save money .
I give away money. I collect money.
I don’t love money . I do love the Lord God.

sounds risky - given the cross over fees.

While I agree, there’s a quarterly special for crossovers for certain “world” countries, but it can get expensive fast!

I think that P to N or vice versa, that they seem to NOT give the break and will leave it alone....

I haven't heard that PCGS is generally preferred in world coinage.

I find the coins in PCGS holders to be generally better for pillar 8R but more mixed for the other denominations since the population counts are so much lower. A lot of mediocre pillar 8R in NGC holders. I consider most of my pillar minors (almost exclusively in NGC holders) to be quite nice but I haven't seen very many PCGS coins for sale that I see listed in the population report. I'd definitely like to have a shot at buying them if upgrades.

    Don't know about Mexico generally.

Make sure you send the labels back to NGC before you sell your coins.

I have made 3 crossover submissions over the years. Went 17/20 on the first, 10/11 on the second, and 11/11 on the third. Overall that's 38 crosses on 42 attempts, or just over 90%.

I really like that Oaxaca Peso. Keep the pictures coming.

Wow, 80% upgrades! I've had some luck with the few crossover from ATS to here but I mostly cross in the other direction and I've never gotten an upgrade in that direction.

    That can't be right - i think it's 80% cross-over at grade or higher. @bidask ?

Perhaps I did not make my question clear but, @bidask, if you don't mind, I'm interested in knowing the percentage of your crossovers that got a higher grade here then the grade assigned ATS.

Thanks for your answer, @bidask. That seems reasonable. I really, really hope dark side grading remains consistent across the TPGs.

All great coins but that 1808 Lima 8 Reales is just awesome....and has some gnarly clash marks.

The surfaces are sublime and best I’ve seen on any peruvian 8 reales of that type!

These are all so beautiful glad you crossed/posted them all as you did.

The 1867MO looks questionable to me, I can't put my finger on it. Sort of too nice, the toning looks like artwork did you see that or does it look differently in hand?

The 1878DO that did NOT cross is a mystery, its a true gem, Love it.
