On September 27, I submitted a 20 S to PCGS that looks exactly like this. If I didnβt know better Iβd think that was mine. Got mine on eBay raw for $175.
Iβm still waiting for grade to post for mine.

Iβm thinking MS60If yours looks just like the one in this thread, it shouldnβt grade unc. There is obvious wear on this one in several different places, particularly on the reverse.

That coin looks like the right Obv. field has been smoothed...IE scratches or something removed.

The second one gives the impression of some level of Unc. No way for me to be more precise with those photos.
Hope that is die polish in the right obverse field and not cleaning.The first looks AU, possibly was in a details holder before or would end up in one. There are some rim marks on the upper obverse and possibly some environmental damage near the right reverse rim. Then add in possible cleaning. But it does say Estate Find which adds huge value because, well...eBay!

The second coin has a great strike for a 1920 S but that right field doesn't look correct, at all. The surfaces look highly disturbed and played around with. Unc. details. This would have to be seen in hand for sure. But based on just that image; I would not even consider it.

Coin #2 is graded
It was owned by apmex. I made them an offer. Not only did they not answered me, they blocked me from bidding on their stuff.
The coin is in jjt's web site the last time I checked.

I find the NGC MS 64 attractive as I have a weakness for well struck ones of the tougher dates and the 20-S is really tough with a decent strike. I would consider a piece such as this one, though I would have to decide it after seeing it in hand.

A strike like that on a 1920-S is indeed quite RARE. You were correct to pass on the first coin but I'd buy that second one, in a NY minute!! JJT's price of $4200 is VERY reasonable. A good 64 like that can realize $6500 in a well publicized auction. Make him a fair offer and go for it!! If you don't, then maybe I will.

Doesn't make sense...a $60 discount on a $4060 coin is nothing. My PCGS 62 looks that good, except for the head, which is poorly defined. It's the only 62 that I own. I cherry picked it many years ago off eBay. I am going to send it in for reconsideration, as it is an easy 63....I'd be happy with that.

You got to be kidding! You offer 60 bucks less on a 4K coin and they block you. Just yet another reason to NEVER do business with apmex! They are the worst!
