Mega Half Dollar Box!

I picked this half dollar box up from the bank recently and immediately knew it would be special when I saw there were 9 silver enders including a Walker and a Franklin. I was not disappointed as it yielded 89 total, 39 were 90% silver and 50 were 40% silver. The most fun I've ever had roll searching (likely the most I will ever have). The box was unusual in that most of the clad coins were highly corroded. Seems like it had been sitting in a dank environment for a good bit of time. The silver held up quite well. Here are some photos of the fun. The photo of all of the silvers stacked up in the box shows the distribution of exactly where they were found. Needless to say, there were few dull moments:

What a whale of a catch!
Did you go back to that “fishing” spot for more @Wahoo554 ?
Curious what was the latest date clad coin that was in the box? Also, when you search do you look for clad varieties like the 1971, 1972, 1974, and 1977 doubled dies?

That is awesome. I had a score like that once but it was because a nice teller told my wife about it. It is so much fun when I opened everything up.
YOU SUCK!

Super score!
WOW!
That had to be quite a thrill.
Incredible.
What was the most recent date you found in that box? Anything from the 80s or 90s?
Done this a few times never found a thing, good for you.
That's pretty good to have at least one silver in nearly eighty percent of the rolls in the box. Congrats!
I miss those 'dream boxes'. Had my last one in 2013. 89 silvers just like yours if I recall, but in my case 88 were 40%.

My best was 50 from a single box. All 90% 3 Walkers, 5 Franklins a holled booker T Washington comm. as an endeder. It was a couple years ago

That's great! I think you just infused some enthusiasm in the roll hunters on the board. Makes you wonder if it was part of an 'old change jar' that got turned into the bank. Think of all those silver dimes and quarters out there ... and wheat cents, silver nickels, seated dollars, gold Indians, two cent pieces ...

Tremendous, congrats
Thanks to all! It was definitely a thrill opening roll after roll with silver edges popping out. Regarding the inquiries from @seanq and @Batman23 , I remember wondering what the latest dates were at the time and I recall that there were several halves from the late 1990's and maybe a few from 2000/2001. This was one of 3 boxes I picked up from the same bank (they ordered them for me, so they weren't laying around in the bank vault for years) and the other two were nothing like it. I've been back to this fishing spot before and since and this box was unique. I think the old change jar theory is a strong possibility. The cardboard box and wrappers were in fine shape so it seems like the corroded coins all came from a single source, perhaps a damp basement or something?
Wow, great find, congratulations !!!
Damn! NIce score. It's been a couple years since I've picked up a box. That definitely makes me want to give it another go
