If you tried posting a pic a received something to the effect that it is waiting approval then the following is the workaround.
-edit your post, click on the gear thing on the top-right of a message you posted
-insert pic by drag/drop, copy/paste, or use the insert file (picture icon at top of post) but... immediately preceding the pic link insert an emoji....
