~ Copper 4 The Weekend™ ~

I'll have to do a full write up at a later date but have had this photo hovering on my desktop.
This was one of the tokens in the Pennsylvania Cabinet Collection which sold this summer. I only chased a few so scarce I might never see again. Below is a very rare circa 1855 mule struck with a obverse Louisville Kentucky clothing merchant die and a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania coal merchant reverse die.

1864 Dunn & Co Charlestown MA200A-3a PCGS MS66 BN

A very scarce issue by Joseph H. Merriam in breathtaking, prooflike condition reassigned from Boston to Charlestown due to the Bunker Hill Monument on the reverse. This issue can be identified by the number of leaves (22) on the obverse die, which are two less than the common variety, MA200-2a.
It is also one of the relatively few civil war tokens dated 1864. By this time, the United States Government acted to eliminate the use of private currency which ran rampant the previous year.

(1870s) Lincoln/Apollo Gardens mule by Joseph Merriam ex. Zabriskie

Here's one to go with @cardinal 's 1793 Cent with bisecting die crack. Merriam's Lincoln die was never meant to be paired with this Apollo, which was his obverse die for the Apollo Gardens Storecard. But illogical mulings were struck in the 1870s (probably at the order of W. Elliot Woodward) and this rarity was produced. This one came from the storied collection of Captain Andrew Zabriskie, the father of Lincolniana. May be unique, as I've never seen another.

Nothing expensive more rare, however the obverse is so very reminiscent of the California SCD's I think

it fit nicely into the theme.
