75th Million Collectible Certified

I watched the little video of the 75th million item certified by Collector's Universe. Think it was some high end 1700's gold piece worth a ton, I assume. And I also have watched when they hit other milestones... 70 million, 50 million...etc. My question is this... do they set aside some specific item that is ultra high end to be one of these numbers, I assume for marketing purposes. I mean, I'm willing to bet my entire collection that the 100 millionth isn't going to be a 1978 Topps PSA 9 Bob Knepper or a 1999 Proof statehood quarter. But I think that if they really went in order, it would more than likely be that as opposed to some super high end item.

Interesting question that I do not know the answer to. I'll see what I can find out...
I've always thought the same thing. It appears to me that they obviously set aside some interesting conversation piece for their milestones.

Thanks! I may start hoarding 78 Topps Bob Knepper cards to submit when that time comes just so Bob has a shot at immortality!
I checked. We don't change the order. Just the luck of the draw. There is still hope for Bob Knepper!!
C'mon my man. 1899-S $5 gold liberty MS68PL. The one and ONLY ever graded by PCGS just HAPPENS to be the next in line of all the collectibles being certified on that exact day and that exact moment? The odds of that are like me winning the Powerball, hooking up with two supermodels and pulling a mint T206 Wagner from a pack of 1988 Donruss all in the same day.
I would tend to agree as well. Unless it is completely transparent, there is plenty of room for fudging to make it interesting, and interesting Knepper is not.
If there was a single (or multiples) major milestone item from the past that was significantly plain and uninteresting, then maybe that is a believable statement.
You know what.... you can stop right there!!! How dare you?!?!?

Maybe one of his oversized minor league cards might pique a sliver of interest...
100 millionth right there!
The 78 Knepper is notoriously off center.
