And just as she closed the cash drawer, was when I saw the unc Barber...

Me: Holding up the line and starting to sweat..."Say, was that a funny looking dime I just saw in your drawer?"
Her: Uhh. I think. You want it?
Me: (Squealing like a school girl) YES!!!
Her: Ok. Give me a second...
...here. Is this what you wanted?
...
...
Yes. Thank you.

Swiss Miss?
Oh well. Don't let it curb your enthusiasm.
Funny how something like that can still make your heart skip a beat and give you such a rush.
Even if she wasn't what I saw in my mind in that split second...
Gentlemen, May I present the 1996 Switzerland 20 Rappen (KM#29a)

You had me at "Barber"!!!
Last time I was in New Orleans I saw a few Pres Bucks in the till at a C-store. I asked the nice lady if I could trade for them. I got a “Just WHAT do you think you’re doing looking in my drawer???”
She's too girly looking to be on a Barber coin...
Smitten with DBLCs.
Those Swiss designs have been in use for over 100 years. Very steady coinage.
Folks down there tell it like it is.
Bad etiquette to stare at a female teller's drawers...anywhere.
@Weiss has Eagle Eyes!!!!!!
Good eye! Looks XF, funny how a stray can show up in change. Peace Roy

That's cool.....Even at face value you still doubled your money.
Well, the next time you're in Switzerland anyway......
Good story, Weiss.
I thought that this was going to be a dream. Nice find nevertheless.

I always sneak a peek when I can. Especially the change holder at the bank.

Yep.... that would have got my attention..... I often find foreign coins in the coinstar...but do not see them in the change drawer...though I always look....
Cheers, RickO
Weiss' Queen Jadzrdkxyg 10 Zlotschky of Poland is much prettier.
So do I. Every once in awhile I spot a silver Kennedy half. One time the tellers change holder had six silver half dollars. Doubt if that ever happens again.
Cool find - keep those eyes open
I worked at an auto parts store in the early 90's and just happened to be about 10 feet away when the cashier broke open a roll of quarters to refill the quarters bin. The sound was a bit odd to me so I went over to inquire - turns out about 30 of them were silver. Immediately made the exchange for face value in cash and was quite happy to be in the right place at the right time.
