I have avoided Facebook like the plague.

I do not do Twiter.

I am tempted to put my art on Etsy and Instagram.

I can tell you this from less than one week on Instagram ....... Instagram is the place to be for coin collectors.

I am so amazed by the followers and responses that I have received.

I already have 500 Images and descriptions ready, so feeding the beast now that I have figured it out will take only a few minutes per day to post.

It is a huge place for coins... and most dealers and collectors are unaware of the magnitude of the coin business on Instagram. Cheers, RickO

I don't like talking in real time to more than one person online. There are many reasons but it's hard to maintain a persona or any anonymity with everyone asking you questions. Without the ability to edit I might come off as dense as I really am.

This place once moved so fast that it was almost like a chatroom. There were times when the oldest post on the front page (20 threads) was less than 15 minutes.

I dont post on IG all that frequently, but when I do - I get an average reach of anywhere from 600-1000 unique accounts seeing my post. If you're an active daily poster and have build-out a nice following, coupled with the use of relevant hashtags, you have an ability to reach quite a broad audience interested in coins

There are some very successful Instagram-only or Instagram-primary sellers. Personally, I treat IG as just another marketing channel. % wise when looking at my sales over the last year, I'd say it's around 40% eBay, 30% BST, 20% IG and 10% consignment.

EOC, Your influencing me to get one going for my Tie Dye business, but alas, it’s already something I have trouble keeping up with. Maybe if something else gives I could add the Instagram thing, would be fun, but looks like it needs proper care and feeding to get the most out of.

It took me three days to research Instagram to find out how best to start up a page.

I had so much help here on this forum, thank you all.

Now that I am up and running, it only takes me 3 to 4 minutes to make a post.

What makes it so quick for me is that I already have all the images done and loaded on my phone as well as the descriptions.

Super easy and you get instant feedback from your followers.

3 are skipjack tuna and not yellowfin that we keep for lobster bait.

11 are yellowfin tuna (Ahi) which is some of the best fish there is, some 30 plus pounds.

There were 3 of us on the boat.
