I like the coin if it has some nice flash/luster breaking through the toning. Weak chimney details on Jefferson's hair but the Monticello looks sharp with outer steps. Why the steps did not strike up better? May be a transitional piece from higher coining pressure. The toning bumps the grade to MS65 for me.
I have this example that I think is more a MS65 than the assigned MS66 due to weakness in the hair.

The more qualities observed in a coin, the more desirable that coin becomes!
the OP picture looks to be R. 40 so if they can't even get that right how can we trust the rest of the assessment?? I will add that PCGS is well known to get these R. 38 and R.40 designations wrong.
It's kindda hard to tell from the picture but it does look like a Rev. of 38 to me.

Looks 66 to me.
I'll admit that I don't know the series all that well.
Great color and nice earlier date!

Looks like a 65 to me... could be a bit of a weak strike...Maybe not when I look at the second pictures. Cheers, RickO
I'm not even going to hazard a guess on that one!

No. Definitely leans more towards the pastel
R.40 MS65.
Looks "off". Jeff's tone many, often strange, ways. But not like that. No grade - cleaned/cooked/enviro damage?
If we were all the same, the world would be an incredibly boring place.

Maybe so..... but I can still appreciate it and like it for what that's worth.

I would have guessed 66-67 for surfaces. The color seems a touch off but the condition of the fields and devices look nearly pristine. Nice 39D

left side, very thick top step says 40.
Middle not very thick, right side not very thick says 38. Wavy steps says 38. It's a 38.
If we were all the same, the world would be an incredibly boring place.

Definitely rev of '38.
