For those unfamiliar, the 1998 Champions of Golf Masters Collection are the golf equivalent of the evil child if 1971 Topps BB & 1970 Topps BkB ever got together, black beauties in tallboy format. 8s are nice, 9s are great, there have only been 13 dimes and less than 400 9s graded between both the base and gold foil sets out of over 12k subs.

Nice stuff, I had some big misses on my submissions as well
I don't think I've ever done a single sub or even piggyback that I was even expecting all 10s on, but the 87 Fax Pax portion was 10 or bust with fingers crossed. I like to mix in enough scarce->rare items that I don't really care what they grade to make sure a sub is worthwhile. My Arnie RC was probably the biggest hit ever for a self sub. That's a registry I would tackle more aggressively if it wasn't for all the 78 Sports Deck cards and bazillion 2001 and newer UD issues. And just got this oddball in today from the UK, another black bordered beast and cleanest copy I've seen, even with a small nick on one of the back edges (looks like it's time to dust my scanner again, ugh) ...
I prefer subs like this with monster HRs and a some Ks over a bunch of 1Bs & BBs. My launch angle and exit velocity were spot on with this one
