My interpretation of the 2019 Pd. Eagle.

Been a while since I shot a coin, had to sorta relearn the software. The obverse was a bitch, even at 18" off the coin
the cheek is still dark, maybe I'll play around later, goin mountain biking while the sun is still out. 1/250, f8, iso 100, center weighted metering, auto WB, 2 second delay, 18" off the coin, lights at 9 and 3 for the most part. More distance off the coin will improve the lighting but I won't be filling the viewfinder. Beat the UPS lady by 10 minutes, left work 20 minutes early just for this piece of Pd. People at work asking what's this Pd. your talking about, kinda laugh.
For comparing the two, here's the 2018 proof version, shot last year.
Reshot it, using a mirror to bounce and distribute light better. Don't think it's much of an improvement, slightly more light on the cheek n neck.

Very nice pictures! I like both coins, but think I prefer last years.
Tilted just a bit, the reflective devices are pretty darn kewl. Plus I had no choice I have the other two.
If anyone has a Trueview image of the reverse proof Pd. please share it.
I would like to see if the pros can illuminate the entire profile of Winged Liberty, with no black.
Excellent shooting!!!!!!!!!
Same here

Very nice pics @morgansforever I can never get pics of any quality and especially PRs.
Agreed.
I really like the design on the Pd coin... the reverse especially.....But for that much money, I prefer gold... Cheers, RickO
More affordable in silver

Killer photos! I'm a fan!
Nice job - reverse proofs are tough - especially in high relief. Mine mostly look like an all black profile silhouette. You got the lighting about right.
I too prefer the black mirror as the background on last year's proof - much more detail for this classic design.
Both finishes are stunning but I prefer the look of the proof over the reverse proof.
RPs are tough to shoot. I like your photos.
Thanks Bryce, sure wish someone would post a Trueview image for comparison. Tried looking I couldn't find any.
