Coin Number 165. 1932 D Washington Quarter
Almost 8 years into building this 185 Coin Set and it feels good to finally pick up the other so called Key to the Set. I am now down to just 20 coins Left and finally passed Mitch @wondercoin to take over 4th place in the current finest set and finally got into the top five All Time Finest Sets. This was one of my Goals when I started. Maybe Mitch can open up his closed set now as I would love to see the coins in his set.
It only took 17 more coins than he has to pass him and shows me how little value point wise our host gives to Varieties. Still a Great Set to try and complete with over 102 varieties and hopefully pcgs will take the 1935 DDO out of the set since there has never been one found.
Thanks for Looking. Enjoy Tom Edited to add I was almost in 5th.....

Nice! That's a beautiful coin. Good luck in your quest. Agreed the most difficult varieties should get a little more bump.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
Tom. CONGRATULATIONS! Well done my friend!
Happy to open that set; I did not even realize it was closed.
Wondercoin.
Very nice '32D.... and congratulations on your set.....Cheers, RickO
Update: Tom... I have good news and bad news...
I opened my set (the good news), but in the process there were 3 coins that I was “prompted” to add- two of which were not even varieties at all. I have no idea how they even went missing in the first place. Anyway, the bad news is that I am still in the lead now by 1/100th of a point. Lol. You need to find one more coin!
Wondercoin.
Why is it only a 64, is this a weak strike?
Now That is Just funny. Thanks for opening up your set so I can go take a look. Now don't you have a Variety that you have more than one sitting around? I thought I traced two coins into this set. 1950 s/d ? The quest continues for one more coin....
Yes the obverse In god we trust is weak but hair detail seems good. Reverse has a few hits on the eagles knees. I like the coin as a MS 64

That's a beautiful coin!

I haven't seen this coin in-hand, but IGWT is always weaker on 1932 WQs as the design was modified in 1934 to make it stronger.

Coin looks like a strong 64 32D. Looks like 8 years of price action has been favorable to you. Congrats on the pick up of the series Key.
Nice friendly competition. I like both.
Tom,
That is a good looking coin. You did well.
