Solid gold toilet worth $1M and titled 'America' stolen

An 18-karat solid gold toilet worth more than $1 million was stolen early Saturday morning from a British palace that was the birthplace of Winston Churchill, police said.

The toilet, an artwork, was reportedly offered at one point by the Guggenheim Museum for the White House.

So they made a toilet out of gold and named it "America".

The one arrest was likely the stooge they bribed to look the other way...and although the weight is not noted, I found the weight to be estimated between 70 and 120 pounds. As mentioned above, it likely has already been melted and spirited out of the country. Cheers, RickO

I think that toilet must have weighed more than 100 lbs. If indeed 18K it may have folded on its own weight if the gold was that thin. Food for thought.
Now that I see closer image it appears to be plated.

I’m happy it’s gone😊. That’s just wrong all over the place.

I thought the funny part was they rented it for 3 minutes at a time for those who wanted to use it! So I have 2 questions! How much did they charge to take a dump in it and how much did they charge if you needed overtime? :#
