A lot of the 19th century crappy fakes like the one pictured came from souvenir shops in Asia. More "marketplace" than "swap meet", but they are quite common. Friend of mine was in Cambodia/Laos a few years ago and he said their were wooden kegs of various 19th century coins in souvenir shops. He bought handfuls of them as souvenirs and gifts for friends.
