If the Farouk 1933 Saint were offered on the BST

Would it bring more than melt?
Seems like all gold is a commodity now.

Nice try but I'm prepared to go to $2500 if necessary.

Damn! I shouldn't have clued you in.

It's yours. The government will confiscate it anyway.
Not unless they find it.

Plus $20 to monitize it again.
A bidding war between Saintguru and...???

Some think it's the most valuable American coin. It's no more a coin than Dann Carr's '64-D Peace Dollar , due to what the bumbling government did for the entire fiasco.
A laughing stock of lawmen.

My Collection of Old Holders
Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
Or just have Dan Carr strike his 1933 over it
Regardless of what you think of the government’s actions, the 1933 Saint is a genuine U.S. Mint product and thus it is more of a coin than the 64-D Peace Dollars you mentioned.

The 64D has PMD...
Don’t hold you breath waiting
Never going to happen
People there would ask for it to be shipped first before paying

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
The 1933 & Judd 1776 were both body bagged by PCGS.
That's why they are raw.
Wouldn't have either in my collection.
I have standards.
My Saint Set
As I recall. pre auction, David Hall and a small group of PCGS graders examined the 33 Saint and awarded an MS65 grade. The buyer elected to keep the coin unholdered.
OK...I'm in.

Doesn't matter. While you were in negotiation with the seller about it, he'd sell it to somebody else.
Widget or Dreck?
That coin is like going to North Korea. You can buy it, but there is no guarantee it wouldn't be seized.....do you really trust Treasury on this one?
Putin could buy this coin........
I would have to have a "friend" in Russia or China buy it on my behalf.
The long arm of the US Treasury is not that long.

3K here ..... be glad to go on liquid diet for a week
If it were offered on the BST, no one would believe it.... and would scream for it to be taken down... so no sale. Cheers, RickO
Both eBay and Heritage are worried about the BST.
And regardless of your view, Dan's '64-D Peace Dollar is a genuine U.S. Mint product, too. Albeit altered.... like the course of history.

The Farouk 1933 Double Eagle is a bona-fide "coin." No it's not bullion.
Whoever is careless with the truth in small matters cannot be trusted with important matters.
It is a bona-fide coin. The only one. And it will never be on the BST. That's my final answer. I can still taste a little puke in my mouth about the ones stolen from the Langbords.
On to the next judgement.

Well it doesn't have a CAC sticker...

In follow up to my other post, definitely "expensive dreck..."

There is no comparison.
Sure there is. One is about a buck. The other is about $20.

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
One thing is certain. No one out there with an authentic 1933 DE is going to come forward insisting that his (or her) '33 is the real Farouk coin.
Whoever is careless with the truth in small matters cannot be trusted with important matters.
In the extremely unlikely event that they had proof, why not?

i'm checking through a bunch of low grade Saints to see if any are 33's.
Even with proof, the cost of litigation would make the endeavor a break even at best.
Take possession in Switzerland.
But would a BST seller ship that far?
You could still get Bern'd.
That would be cheesy.
