Let's see your favorite cards of your favorite players all sports
Looking through some cards today got me to thinking about my favorite cards of my favorite players. Not so much rookie cards or most valuable or highest graded, but which cards, by design, photo or sentimental value are your favorites? Here are a few of mine.
The first trade I ever remember making was in 1979 to get a Topps Roger Staubach from my Redskin loving best friend. The 1979 Staubach continues to be my favorite card of any player from any sport. I've got a bit of a hoard of them, here's my PSA 10
I started collecting Pete Maravich as a teenager, right after reading about his death. I've got a lot of oddball stuff from him in my collection, but I'm not sure there is a prettier card than his 1971 Topps
Another sentimental favorite, the first really "old" card I ever owned was a 1964 Roger Maris I got in a trade with a friend whose Dad had found a shoebox full of 60's Topps baseball cards in an attic while doing an HVAC repair. It felt like I had to trade my entire collection away to get that card but it was worth it. I don't remember what happened to the original, but here's the PSA 7 that is in my collection now.
I could go on, but that's a decent start.

For me, the GOAT:
My favorites.
All outstanding, but that Brown Kahn's is just on an entirely different level!
Just a few. For a long time the 83 jogo Canadian was my unicorn, I slated that one a few years back
Hiya Abe
Good idea for a topic. And you've posted some really superb cards! The Staubach is really sweet.
Mine is more in the category of favorite thing.
Like this gum/card vending machine - I was very fortunate to snag it at a very good price - and it's not restored but NOS - I even found some newspaper inside from 1957.
As one can see, 1 penny gets ya one gum ball and one card - a bargain to say the least.
I really like these images, even if they aren't particularly valuable.
Nice choices Nick.
I'll bet many might not know that Kingman had over 440 HRs during his career.
A few of my favorite Joe Louis cards.
Dave Kingman.
Just some of my favorite, eye pleasers in the theme of the thread. Staying away from most valuable and delving into most beautiful. These are cards that make you want to pick them up...

A card that was always an “impossible dream”....
The first Seaver card I ever pulled from a pack, and still my favorite...
I was at his very last game as a Phoenix Firebird in Tacoma.
I always really liked that Stabauch too. 1979 was the first year I really bought FB in packs and that card seemed elusive to me at the time. As with baseball, basketball & Hockey, the All Star/All Pro designations made the cards so much better. In a set loaded with terrible pictures and a few gems, this one is closer to the top of the scale.
Awesome and fantastic cards, but um.
"1964 Roger Maris I got in a trade with a friend whose Dad had found a shoebox full of 60's Topps baseball cards in an attic** while doing an HVAC repair**."
My favorite player of all time and 1977 he was league MVP and had one of the best years ever for a running back. Love the colors and design of 77s
PC Walter Payton - Bear Down!
Jake, that's a screamer! I loved the 1,000 yarder designation on 1977 Topps.
Today is a great day. Here’s two more you won’t see often...
