Coin World interviews Director Ryder...

Coin World interviewed Ryder at the ANA. Published yesterday.
U.S. Mint Director David Ryder on Silver Eagle design change, W-Mint Program, and more...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iC_Rqh-1o_Y
We're probably seeing the further inclusion of W-Mint premiums with the annual sets. The last part of the interview (Eagle counterfeits) is interesting, though I'm getting more afraid we're going to see quarters on spoons again...

Thanks for posting @BackroadJunkie.
Thanks for the post @BackroadJunkie....I will be watching for the W mint nickel, to complete my W coin set. Cheers, RickO
I think the most interesting thing here - especially for those of us who worry about the hobby - is that the Mint customer base has dropped from 2.7 million to under 500,000!!!1
That is like everybody just stopped. What will that mean for further production numbers? Can we expect very small mintage numbers to begin??
That drop was over 20 years (mid-90s till now) so I think we've already seen mintage numbers dropping in a lot of areas. Look at the number of proof and mint sets issued.
