Please excuse this basic question, but is there a chance this gold coin would get a PL designation?

Hi everyone,
I really am not an expert with grading gold coins which is why I'm asking you. I am curious as to what you think this coin might grade. It's a 1904 double eagle, i.e. literally the most common date possible. I don't think I've personally possessed a raw gold coin in the past year that looks like this one though. The question really is, 'would this have a chance at grading PL at either NGC or PCGS?'
I didn't use any special lighting to take the photographs, literally just some sunlight and my room lights. These are some of the first photographs with my new macro lens though - it's awesome. I was holding the camera by hand as I don't have a tripod yet.
Thanks for your time!

It is very nice, but not PL at least based on these first photos, IMO.

No way to assess depth from those photos. It has to be uncirculated to be called PL at PCGS. NGC will call high AU coins PL if warranted.

More than for most coins, exceptional 1904 $20 Liberty Golds exist in significant quantities. A 1904 $20 Liberty has to be high-end super exceptional to consider sending in for slabbing. Better for most persons (myself included) to buy one already slabbed.
Nicest condition coin I ever owned was a 1904 $20 Liberty Gold, back in my early college years. I sold it very casually, for a $40 profit. The money was reinvested in beer and pizza. That was over a decade before hard plastic slabbing was trotted out.
A nice gold coin, however, based on the pictures, I do not think it will get the PL designation. Cheers, RickO
You need to tilt the coin and reflect some light so we can see if there are mirrors.
I would say no.
