Another busy ANA for the PCGS team. Thankfully I caught a little break from shooting a few thousand coins to explore the floor, talk to a few old friends and dealers, make some trades and pick up some new pieces. I’ve always enjoyed Napoleonic medals when I’ve had them, they’re historical, high relief, and quite affordable. Plus I’ve been enjoying the Age of Napoleon podcast. So with that in my mind I picked up a handful of them. 4 French medals, but also two British medals from the 1820s commemorating the era, giving some nice balance to the French propaganda pieces. I’ll probably write up (and possibly illustrate) a few things about the treaties and battles in due course on Instagram. Hope you had a great show!

Very nice!

Stylistically, they are all very similar. Are they all made by the same engraver?
