this coin used to belong to our very own Mr Half Dime, who passed away in June. The die state shows a clash of the date on the REVERSE. Not many of these exists, as it seems the US Mint personnel lapped away the clash marks shortly after noticing it on minted coins.

Such a nice example! I finally got a copy of the Federal Half Dimes book and it claims that this clash on LM-1 is the most spectacular clash for the series. The fact that it is an ex-Mr. Half Dime coin is all the better.
