ANA Newps

Looking for the right piece at a coin show can be a funny thing, especially at a very large show like the ANA.

At times, you will see the perfect coin in a dealer's case right away. Other times, you will walk around the show for days and only find something when another dealer or collector tells you where to find it.

Both of these scenarios happened to me at the ANA in Rosemont this week.

The first piece I purchased was a Jean Vernon medal. This stuck out to me right away amongst other medals and was a great addition to my bird-themed collection without "breaking the bank."

Another item on my wish list was an Argentina sunface 8 Reales. I had looked around the show for a few days and not had much success. Another dealer mentioned to me that he had seen something I might like at a table in the back. I went over to investigate, and it ended up being a successful referral!

This attractive circulated coin is the result:

Does anyone else have newps from the show to share?
