OT: 24K 1Kg Gold Bar vs. 50 BMG...

All right, it's silly. Most of what's on Demo Ranch is silly...

Anyway, he also tries to murder a bag of junk silver and a 1000oz bar of silver with various caliber rounds...

One day I'll figure out how this stuff gets in my recommended list... :D

Why is the inside of the gold bar... silvery? Is it due to the speed and heat generated by the projectile melting to the gold (as hinted at in the video, very briefly?) Go to 13:15.

Or is it... ...AR (translate by adding +1 letters of the alphabet)

Just don't think I could bring myself to shoot a gold bar.... even if I had 100 of them.

I never understood exactly how, but I know that a good many people make a lot of money on you tube.
Maybe racking up views of stuff like this ?

That's almost certainly the bullet melted to it...

...and the point of this is, what?? If I'm ever attacked by a gold or silver bar, I think I have more worries than what is the best caliber with which to shoot it!

I totally enjoyed watching that. Very cool indeed B)

The bitterness of "Poor Quality" is remembered long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

For those curious, weight of the bar after the .50 cal holed it was 31.67ozt. At $1500 spot, that comes to $47,505.

Starting price was $52,500, and was bid to (and sold at) $55,200. Not too bad, considering the pub SD Bullion got. Link to auction:
