Nice old WLH that has definitely seen some commerce..... Good album coin if you are doing a series... Cheers, RickO
It is actually a 16-D. Well worn with what appear to be some recent scratches over original toning.
I've always liked 1916's with the obverse mintmark.......17's too.......
It definitely has character.

She’s seen a lot of commerce @Conita1218 thanks for sharing.
Ohh, the stories she could tell...
Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

A coin does not have to be uncirculated or high grade to be appreciated. This is another coin that I believe has done its' job by circulating.......
And it has Character for that reason.

Cool coin! Too bad about the “D”.

The last really creative coin design to vanish - 1947.
Why is the "D" a bad thing.?
I think he’s being sarcastic.
Back from when coins worked for a living. I can't recall seeing a modern coin in circulation below XF.

The "P" and S are worth more.
The S might be, but I doubt the P is worth more.
The relative value of the plain, D or S mintmarks also varies by date.
