I'm Back...

Hello Everyone,

I hope those who attended the National enjoyed themselves. I am just back from a long weekend in Canton, Ohio, for Johnny Robinson's HoF induction. It was quite a spectacle.

I've had to do some housecleaning as a few things got a bit squirrely in my absence. I deleted the thread about the Namath card. When people start insinuating things about PSA like I read there, it will not last. I have also had to ban a few folks, including some that have been spamming a number of you all.

Anyway, I hope everyone is well. Please remember to keep things above board here. Again, that is not a demand to agree with everything you see, but it is a demand to be civil in your discussions and steer clear of nasty insinuation and making statements just because you feel the need to make a negative post. Most here have been great, but a handful have not and I need to moderate accordingly.

Thanks, Todd

Welcome back! I hope Canton was a blast!

Thanks, guys. It was a whirlwind trip and I'm exhausted, but all is well.

@ArtVandelay ... I was surprised as Canton was nothing like Cooperstown. There are no memorabilia shops in town. I found one small card shop, but it didn't have anything I couldn't live without. I did pick up some Johnny Robinson-related stuff from the HoF gift shop, but it is all new stuff to commemorate his induction.

Good to see you back, Todd! I know how instrumental you are in gaining well deserved recognition for the old AFL stars and glad to see Robinson finally inducted.

Good to have you back Todd!

I saw a story where the FB HOF president said that, since next year is the 100th anniversary of the NFL, they're thinking about having a special HOF election, where as many as 20 new players could be enshrined, instead of the 8 who normally would be called for. What do you think about that?

Maybe they'll finally elect Don Coryell!

I watched the Robinson induction. It was a long time coming. As an LSU fan I had a soft spot for him. He has done a lot of good post retirement. I grew up about 30 minutes from where he lives now. Glad you got to go

Johnny set us up really nicely for the event. We were in the field level, row 7, mixed in with his family. His acceptance speech was surreal, like the conclusion of a very long project. But also very rewarding.

Thanks @PaulMaul. I've banned that one. I'm in the office tomorrow, so I will try to speak with someone and see why we are getting so many of these lately.
