Thank Goodness! Found the "lost" images from all of 2019 so far but they are not easily accessible.

I was going to post a large number of discussions tonight with many images. When I got ready to download the camera images to my computer the last image was dated 11/18! That means I've lost over seven months (hundreds) of interesting images! I called a friend to cry on her shoulder but she was out. What would you do?
Still not showing on the scan disc but I have them. Thanks for the suggestions! I'm going to get the IT guy to try to put them in a 2019 folder for me.
Anyway... This Bust dime has a repaired cheek. The tiny stippling is one of the usual diagnostics for this type of repair.

I would get the full version of Carbonite that automatically backs up the whole computer.
Every night.
Images on a card can be recovered.
Are you near a college with a digital forensics program?
Use recovery software on the memory card to recover the images. Image Rescue from Lexar tends to work pretty well but there may be others.
You’ll need a card reader most likely if your computer doesn’t have a slot built in.

Never made it to the computer. Looks like nothing got added to the tiny Scan Disc in the camera. Perhaps it was full.
No it would tell you if it was full and stop taking. Is there an internal memory? What is the camera? Take the memory card out, turn it back on and try to review images. If it has an internal memory, removing the card should force it to look internally.

I have (5) external hard drives with the exact same information on each drive stored in three different locations.
Backing up your data on more than one drive is super important.
Both. But not in that order or you might by a crappy camera.
Join the OFR. It will take your mind off the missing images.
30 minutes a day - download and verify - hold copies on a thumb drive.

Forgive and forget my friend.
Eat a crap load of chocolate.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
Sometimes memory cards get corrupted in the camera and it can be scary. I've had it happen to me 3 times and I was able to recover the images each time. Hopefully you can plug in the memory card or the camera into a computer to view the directory. The last time this happened, I had to delete an image that looked 'off' and that cleared up the problem. No pics were lost.

I hope you know that when you include the word "ignore" in the title, the thread gets even more attention.
It would have been a funny poll. I ate about a quarter pound of fudge brownies as suggested above.
Chocolate is a great healer.
...... happened ......... I am sorry it did
Hope you can recover some somehow
and get drunk too
...sorry about your luck @Insider2 ...moving forward, you gotta plug anything digital into your Mac/PC weekly, if not daily to let it download it’s load...like you know, like coming home from a long days work and then letting the wife and kids have it at the dinner table...just imagine if you had to keep silent at the dinner table for a prolonged period of days...6 months and your eyeballs would come out, you, probably 2 months, maybe 1
Try the above options... put the card in your computer - if it has a card reader slot....I keep backup drives and thumbdrives with important items...Good luck...Cheers, RickO
Thanks for all the suggestions. I make three copies of my columns and have all my images from 10+ years backed up on and off the computer. Unfortunately since 11/18 - stuff is missing. I'm sure I backed it up somewhere but for now... I'm going to let our IT guy try to find it. Otherwise, it is a really big loss.
I'm especially sorry I didn't have time to share many of them with all of you.
Why not just back up to the cloud?
Are you effing Crazy???
I have everything in the cloud because then I can access it from any device anywhere in the world.
I'm glad you are the only one who can access the stuff in your cloud.
UP DATE: Having a better day today.
Great!
