Another unusual NEWP - Gorham scarce pattern c.1868

ashelandasheland Posts: 23,706 ✭✭✭✭✭

This is another scarce pattern marked off the want list. B)
Bridal by Gorham, patented in 1868, this example probably dates to 1870 or so.

A few small dents and scratches in the bowl but very acceptable to me considering the age. I believe it’s a jelly spoon.

I'd use it to get to the bottom of a peanut butter jar. Peace Roy

Was that used for scooping cat poop or consume?

    (The spoon says "Sterling.")

Nice kitty. My Russian Blue passed away but she was all joy.

Interesting spoon, BTW. This is now the official cat and spoon forum.

Interesting spoon, but I wonder what it was used for.
Surely not to put on ones mouth, it looks like it would be painful when removed.

It's a serving piece albeit a smaller one. I believe it's for jelly...
