Cherry Picked No Rays Pattern Reverse...crossed and TV in!

Found this in a NGC 63Cam holder without pattern reverse designation. Sent it in Friday and got the results Monday. TV came today. Also completes my proof shield with reverse set ending as #1. Have hardly worked on improving this set as a lot of the coins were top pop when purchased. Enjoy

Sorry, newbie question, what does Without Pattern Reverse mean?

The reverse design is a first attempt at creating the “Without Rays” type. It is called a “Pattern” because the effort was not accepted as is. The adopted design has a slightly different arrangement of the stars and the lettering.
The grading service should have mentioned the fact that it was a “pattern reverse” on the holder. They missed it and did not, so the holder is ‘without “pattern reverse” ‘ on the holder.

Previous owner may have not known it was a pattern reverse. Whoever I was bidding against did know, though.
I needed one to finish the set and have had a hard time finding one. Found it pretty quick unattributed

why does the pattern reverse with a lower population sell for less than the regular no rays?
