This hammered at 140. My limit was 100 but I got carried away and kept bidding. I didn’t have a scale with me but it felt right. I’m going to weigh it this evening if I can find that scale around here

doesn't "pure coin" mean 90% ?
Yes, that’s what coin means. One piece was coin. The rest is sterling.
You should have a contest to guess the weight!
That’s a good idea! Asheland would have to be exempt from the contest because he finds this much sterling at the thrift shop on a weekly basis.

Well OK. Now I’m a self proclaimed hoarder and it’s hard for me pick anything for release. But I’ll send the closest guess in ounces without going over some selection from my collection/hoard.
I’ve weighed the pile, minus the one coin silver spoon, to the 2nd decimal.
I’ll check back about this time tomorrow and see who’s got the best guess.
I’ll do my best to make it a worthy prize, which I’ll reveal then.

22.5 oz. Thanks for the chance to guess.
By the way, that Prelude was my daughters pattern. We sold her service for twelve plus a few serving pieces, about 146 ounces, for a whopping $36.55 per ounce in April of 2011?. The $5400+ made a nice down payment on their new car. I had purchased most of it for her between $8 and $12 per ounce.

25.60 oz. Edit thanks.
Well that didn’t get too much traction. But times up. Here’s the prize.
I wondered if not saying what it would it be would keep anyone from participating.
The total weight was 19.23 ounces. LukeMarshall shoot me a pm with your address and I’ll put it in the mail Saturday.
Awesome giveaway @DNADave!
Congrats @LukeMarshall!
From silver to gold!
Wooo Hooo, happy dance time!
Thank you so much DNADave, very nice of you...
I actually based my decision on a Silver fork I dug up that weighed 44 grams. That and relative size compared and contrasted times number of items and a little luck...
That or this new Coffee I've been drinking... Anyone had 1850 yet??
Very much appreciate winning the Gold, PMed.
Cheers!
