    Gold went up
    300% but XF $2.50 and $5 are only up 50%.

    My recollection is that Stack’s “UNC” coins were typically decent examples, likely to grade MS63-64 these days.

    August 1995 I climbed Mt Elbert then mount massive the next day B) , the day after I laid in my tent at a campground in Leadville catching my breath :s . I didn't own any bullion at the time

    In 1995, I wrote a couple of editorials that were published protesting the inclusion of the 1995-W Silver Eagle only being available for purchase in the 5-coin set that included the 4 denominations of American Gold Eagles.

    Philip Diehl screwed up my plan of buying 15 proofs every year (which I had done since 1986) as a longterm investment. I never bought another Proof Silver Eagle after that, until 2006. Flakey damned unelected bureaucrats.
