If I was BBCE I would keep it WAY overpriced. It's a museum pc / attraction. That alone generates more sales at the booth, store, wherever it goes.
This. It's a unique item and displayed to draw attention to inventory as much as a possible sale. And who knows, if Hal Steinbrenner sees it, he may buy it just to open the packs, as he has done with many high priced boxes and packs in the past. I think we sometimes look at these items from our own budgetary position. but for something like this, the potential buying pool is very thin indeed.
I also remember a few Nationals ago, everyone thought Steve was nuts to price a 75 mini wax case at 50K. Today, that box wouldn't even make it to the display table at that price.

That Woolworth picture is amazing! I think I count over 120 boxes -- WOW!
Not true IMO
The guys that have the kind of scratch to consider either option don’t drive cars that go for only $100k. But I do get your point.
Did anyone buy it yet?
As of Saturday afternoon no.
Was still in case when I walked by.
I'm surprised...sarcasm on

My first national was in 1992 in Atlanta.
A dealer had an a 52T 8 pack cello for sale - it looked so cool.
But, he wanted something like 20K for it - so I put my wallet back in my pocket.
