Well, I started the set today with our current inventory (some of it long-term holdings, though, and most of them toned BN or RB). #11!
Kind regards,
George
Welcome in! Great to see this registry set taking off.
@dabrin (David) - You did a phenomenal job putting that beautiful set together! You should be so very proud! I started this set about 1-1/2 years ago, but I still need 18 out of the 50 dates. I’m way back, currently ranked #42.

Thanks much @winesteven! You are well into a pretty spectacular set yourself. I love all those CAC'd MS67+ coins

Thanks for your kind words. An advantage I have is that I started this set only last year. With the significant drop in pricing of these coins over the past 5+ years, coupled with the often tiny pricing differential for many of these with CAC’s versus without CAC’s, it has not been too difficult. The key I found is not treating these as “commodities”. That is, don’t assume every MS67 with a CAC is just like all others with CAC’s for that same date in the same grade. Luster varies, evenness of red color varies, carbon flecks are more numerous on some than others, quality of the strike varies, etc. So even though I scour the weekly GC and weekly Heritage auctions, after 1-1/4 years I’m still missing 18 of the 50 coins. “The Hunt” is part of the fun!
Happy Hunting!
Steve
