    Sold my GAR materials a few years ago. Still regret it. Very nice medal. A great field to collect.

    I agree with you. I'm not sending this for grading but I wish the grading services could come up with a holder to accommodate the badge or pin which originally came with the medal. I hate to think that these pieces are being separated to get them in a slab. A lot of history is being lost.

    I can't imagine anyone breaking apart these multi-part medals, but some strange things have been entombed IMO.

    Maybe our host could be the first to design a holder that could house these kind of suspension medals.
