Went to the bank today to cash in some change & get new rolls of quarters to search for new releases.
When I got home & started unwrapping them (1 ea. UT & IL), it became apparent that all 5 rolls (orange ink on brown paper) were brand-spanking-new "P" rolls of Illinois (2), Utah (2), and Colorado (1) state quarters!
Is this an indication that people are turning them in & their being sent right back out again, or would any companies supplying the banks finally be opening any OLD (2003 - 2007) bags from storage & rolling them?
I was almost done turning in MY old unc rolls, and now I've temporarily added THESE! ![]()
(The good news, at least, is that one of the nickel rolls I also got finally produced a handful of the elusive 2019-P's we needed - - and even enough to trade for some D's!

Somebody finally turned theirs in. Only 2,000,000 rolls each to go.
I tried the local bank once...and they did not have any new quarter rolls....so got two rolls of halves...no silver. Cheers, RickO
Probably. I turned in a couple hundred bank wrapped rolls a few years back, I can't imagine the bank did anything other than send them right back out, next time somebody wanted a roll.
I was at a coin show last year and a guy comes in with 250 rolls of unc. state quarters. He had 2 full sets of all 56 different in P and D plus extra rolls of some of the "better" dates. That's $2,500 face and he was asking $2,600 for them. He offered them to all of the dealers or anyone else. There was no discussion or counter offers. People just looked down and averted their eyes. People just slowly moved away as if they might be contaminated with what he had.
Nice. I see the occasional "UNC" state quarter when I am reconciliating the registers at night, the give away are the sharp, copper reeding...mostly new quarters but a state quarter on occasion...probably from a change jar.

M y bank would probably break all of those rolls open and run em through their counter.
There was a lady at my bank who had BU rolls of statehood quarters in the vault as part of their 'cash on hand'. She retired last year, and would be surprised if they are still kept separate.
