Interesting mule. Made long after the date on the obverse.

I have heard/read about this Half Dime. The figure of Liberty looks off, the front of the face looks pushed in (she won the 100 yard dash in a 90 yard gym). Interesting, but I would need it to TPG to make sure of the authenticity. Here is a thread topic that I posted a couple years ago, with some supplemental info. https://forums.collectors.com/discussion/980840/1860-h10c-coin-without-a-country-gfrc

Neat transitional pattern. I always liked Paquets obverse design.

A "made for collector" item from the 19th century.

Do you have a more specific date range and references for when this was struck?

Yep. Info will be published when I complete all the pattern and restrike research.

I have one of the other 99 examples out of the 100 that were allegedly struck. Found this one raw in a Wayte Raymond album that was locked up in a bank for decades. It's been housed in a PCGS MS63 holder since about 2006.

If your example won the 100 yard dash in a 90 yard gym, mine was trying to run it in their 3-yard wide bathroom. I've heard of "no stars" Seated coins, but what about the elusive "no face?" Even the arm is flat.

I see no reason to doubt its authenticity, though as Roger says it probably lies about its age.

"Summers" would be a better time description. A very long and complicated project with much use of personal diaries, papers and related materials. Also, for now I am ignoring the "established wisdom" in favor of letting the documents and participants tell what was done (and not done).

[The "Spring" projects were to complete the Inco-Gould private pattern book and the new Girl on the Silver Dollar book about Anna Williams and George Morgan's silver dollar, which is being shipped this week.]
