1975 High D Variety?

Found CRH and the “D” is higher than a regular strike, should I keep it or bring it back to the bank?

I've seen a fair number of 1975-D's and can't recall seeing one with the mm positioned that high.
There's little interest now in these types of varieties, but that may change in the future.
    I think it's cool.

    Welcome to the forum @Npacy2.

    Looks interesting.

Please post a zoom in pic of the mint mark area.

This sorta looks like the variety that Q. David Bowers has in the recent Red Books.

@Npacy2....Welcome aboard.... Interesting catch... certainly is a high D.... I do not believe it commands a premium, but I would save it in a labeled flip...Cheers, RickO

That's not the one on page 140 of the 2020 Red Book,
so it's not the 'good one'.

However, there are other placements for the D mintmark
on this date, and your's is one of those 'high D's.'

Not the rare one, but this location is scarce, imo.
