Hey guys, quick question. What exactly constitutes an error card. Someone earlier in the post asked if I had found anything else interesting in the cards and well I found these ...
2nd Pressman on a 3 man 6 unit (4 color units wiith 2 would be left open for any kind of coating requested, )
Never saw that in 40 yrs. my guess 90% sure tampering, unless samples were cut and given to customer to decide if cheaper coating would protect the printed image of all cards in production.
Just a thought, maybe they were looking at a change from U.V. coating ( expencive, but the best ) to an aqua.
CAUTION is advised.
If they were cut as suggested and given to customer, to view. Keep in mind as per card, not sheet,
How did they get into retail packs? Hmm.
Caution is advised.
Hello!
I am really late to Donruss party...We have a unique find that I would Like to get some input and guidance on. My husband found some 1990 Donruss Red/Red Test cards. They have a player photo on both sides (different players). They were purchased 1990-91 time frame and purchased as a lot with some other cards. They are open packages but they sat in the box they came in for the last 30 years and are in pristine condition. They came already cut, not in sheets like I have seen. From the research we have done, someone said they were proof pages that were scraps. They are usually discarded, but this person thought some were “backdoored”. I can tell you that they are still hard to find info on, and pricing on eBay is scarce as there just doesn’t seem to be a lot out there.
Hoping to research a little more before we start selling to get a good price point for some of our good players/hall of famers. Just wanted to jump in here to share our interesting find. Would love to get any tips or insight in how to price out some of these. We inventoried all of them and I can provide some lists of the good ones we have. I will post a sample pic of the couple we took pics of...and here is a link to a YouTube video that shows the cards in action to prove they are real! https://youtu.be/DDBlMCc5SY4

They are both 1987 Topps and appear to be normal except for the picture on the front is double printed. Don't know. Looked interesting to me.
What one sees after a 3 day bender. Printing registration error.
All right gentlemen, just listed one of the Howard Johnson MVP BC-2 cards on Ebay. Don't know if there are any Hojo collectors, but just an fyi!
Also decided to list one of the Dave Stewart Diamond King Aqueous if there is anyone interested.

I'd actually be interested in those print defect '87 Topps if you want to throw those up on eBay and send me the link, please. Thank you, sir.
