Gorgeous coin. The question is how much did that reverse scuff spot held it back. I'll go with 64+

    I will guess 63

One of my favorite designs! And so many have been dipped out. Looks drop dead gorgeous, and I'm guessing the scuff does hold it back...at least it's on the reverse though. That obverse is lovely. 64 because of the scuff would be my guess at holding it back from a true gem. That obverse though...

PCGS is brutal on grading these. My guess is 64. Nice coin!

Good guesses, I would say the scuff in hand is not as prominent as it appears (but then it is my coin - LOL). May well have been dipped some time ago, but really liked this coin that was bought from a member on these boards - can't remember who and he had a 1914 for sale that I let go & wish I hadn't. Told him I'd post it, so here it is!

terrific coin ... the reverse hurts but I am still in the 64 camp. Only if the reverse matched the obverse....

Coin graded PCGS65. It really is a luster bomb in hand as well.

Outstanding example of a beautiful coin. The toning on it is simply perfect. The reverse "scuff" and paper label don't take away from it at all imho. This is has always been my favorite design coming from our neighbors to the south. An addition to be proud of for sure.

Thanks, I am really happy and in hand was so happy when I got this thing raw. As per above I wonder how the 1914 from the same source fared?
