1970-S Nickel- MM thicker than usual?

Going through my S nickels and I noticed that the MM on this one was much thicker than the others that I have. It's been around the block quite a few times so I don't want to get too excited about an RPM just yet! What do you all think?
*The nickel in question is the one on top in the photo of the 3 together

Back then Mint marks were punched into each individual die by hand, and since the Mint mark punch itself is tapered, if it is punched a little bit deeper than average it will be thicker and wider than average.
@MiBellita
Possible an RPM (8 or 10?) but the damage that swept through “1970” from the probable coin counter/roller is making it difficult to discern. Look for some other non MM diagnostics for confirmation.

The PMD makes it difficult to identify.... Cheers, RickO
Going to check it out, the PMD really does make it difficult! Going to bust out my little microscope and post more photos
*Edit to add- I did look at rpms 8 and 10 and it looks like those are only on proofs? Or am I reading that wrong?
Your not reading it wrong the DD’s were for proofs.
Another resource.

If your doing this to gain knowledge or find a new variety then that’s great, but a PMD coin makes it tough.
But if your doing it to make $ or find a value the PMD makes it futile. IMO.
Have fun!
@Hemispherical thank you for all your help! Didn't expect much value from one so damaged, though that would've been great! I'm just still trying to train my newbie eyes and learn as much as I can about all of this. My job isn't very mentally stimulating so this is something that has been keeping me on my toes and I love it!
