If you had the place to put it, what a great conversation piece.

A coin counter that counts English pennies/// The US has never made a penny// We make CENTS!!!!

The US MInt and US Treasury both use the term interchangeably. So, yes, we do make pennys and cents.

    That distinction disappeared long ago.

I sold mine for $100 when I quit the shop. Figuring it will be a cold day in hell when I ever want any bulk silver coins. :p

    It was different though.

What I wish I had kept was a slotted gizmo to detect counterfeit gold coins. :'(

I recall that Horn & Hardarts Cafeterias in Manhattan used them to process the coinage in their teller cages. Thems was the days. Peace Roy

Double check the coin return slot. I heard they would reject pioneer gold coins 😉

H&H!! THERE's a blast from the past! I used to go to one in downtown Philly when I would visit my grandparents & make our trek down to "Smelters Row" to check thru coffee cans full of junk silver to fill holes in my Whitman folders!

The last time I was at the store it was for sale it was not in the area I saw last. But I think I remember seeing it elsewhere. I think they were asking around $1000

My cousin has one sitting in his rec room. It works ok but does jam up from time to time. I think it's neat but also a monstrosity unless you have the space for something like that. He bought it at a thrift store a few years back...
