1875-S 20c. A new die variety or counterfeit? NGC MS-62

This one is a weirdo. All looks good on first glance, but the die cracks on the obverse are something I've never seen before, and then the obverse stars just kept getting jankier as I moved across the dial.
I cannot find a match on www.doubledimes.com, what say you?

I'm petty sure this is not genuine, but I'd love to be proven wrong.

The Stars look kinda weakly struck on the die crack line. Maybe related? Not my series but I think it “looks” legit. JMHO
edit
I am wrong.
BF-14 VLDS.
You learn something new every day.
Scroll thru the photos. I see some strange stars. Not my series but it looks okay to me.

Edited to add: I saw one photo with a die crack by date much like the one in question.
Coin matches the NGC photo.

I think the coin is real, just a later die state. I recall seeing a similar appearing date (die break on lower right of 8) amongst coins John and I researched. It also looks as a rim break is beginning to form under the left side of the date.
It's difficult to view using the 'magnifier' image used by APMEX.
See http://www.doubledimes.com for a free online reference for US twenty-cent pieces
Found a couple with identical die crack. OP coin top, MS65 middle with early crack, VF35 bottom with hint of chip in corner of 8 starting to appear.

I stand corrected.
Thank you.
Interesting .... Thanks for posting this... the ensuing information can be helpful to members. Cheers, RickO
just looks overgraded and poor quality
Considering the source, it may be a stock photo.
If you want to know if it is a stock photo or a photo of the exact coin on the APMEX website, just hover your mouse over the little camera icon. In this instance it is a stock photo. If it is the actual photo it will say "image of the exact coin you will receive."
