I went to all 40 IPMS in Memphis. I have not been to any of the three in Kansas City. Does anyone have a report?

Thanks. Very glad that I did not go.
To counter the other comments - from the time I got there on Wednesday until when I left Sunday morning - I had an absolute ball. Of course, I'm rather busy running the Exhibit Area and taking care of the SPMC Breakfast. Although several of our regular exhibitors couldn't make it this year for personal reasons, several new folks stepped up and the Exhibit Area was as big as last year! We also had a good turnout at the SPMC Breakfast (although I got skunked in the Tom Bain Raffle - boo!). Then, on Friday, I was able to add a great note to my personal collection from a dealer on the floor. Friday night, we had our usual Nationals get-together with about 20 guys for over three hours. Then, on Saturday, I went to a couple of great Educational presentations, and, later, scored a great note in the auction. After the auction, I sat down with Tookybandit and his wife and shared cat pictures, of all things! Sunday morning came early and off to the airport for an uneventful flight home (the best kind of flight).
The dealers' reactions were varied but several I talked to (Pierre Fricke, Steve Perakis, among them said they did fine at the show). Hopefully, Lyn will get the dates straightened out and we'll be back there next year.
Oh, did I also mention my Exhibit won Best in Show? First time ever!!!

I had a great time at the show too! Sunday always seems to be a big buying day for me even though limited dealers stick it out until the end.
Sorry you missed out on the raffle... but I’ll happily gloat and proudly display my spoils!
I was there. Very disappointing compared to previous years and especially compared to the old Memphis shows. Dealer turnout was down. There was nothing to buy and no bargains on anything really. No PCGS registry awards dinner for first time. The presentations were good and it's always fun to do the SPMC breakfast. But I don't see myself going back again if they keep it at the same location. It wasn't worth the trip costs and traveling from California.
Excuse my ignorance, but after 40 consecutive years of attending the same show, don’t you miss the people that you’ve met and liked during these 4 decades? Is it just you, or a whole bunch of paper money friends who boycott the new location?

I had not bought anything at Memphis the last 5 years. Memphis was only a few hours away but Kansas City is about 3 times as far. A lot of the dealers and collectors that I have known for decades have sadly passed away.
I’m sorry to hear it and I certainly understand your decision better now. Thank you.
