I have a couple of them, one in PCGS-f12 the other raw, also in f12.
No pics that I can find though.
Great date, tough to find. I also have a couple 1811 dimes. Same deal, one in PCGS-vf20 the other raw in vf20.
The raws are in an album, the slabs are just for the heck of it.
Here is mine. PCGS35
I have 2. 1 Pcgs VG8 and one AG raw.
EAC 6024
PCGS pop reports show 2 in MS65 and 2 in 66. would love to see them as I never never saw them!
Speaking as someone unfamiliar with the series....
I must say, the "9" in the date just looks wrong. But after seeing a 1/2 dozen of them here....I guess it's RIGHT!
Why the interest in that particular date/coin? Cheers, RickO
Wow Easton and Realone, those are absolute beauties!!!!
Ricko - The 1809 is the first year of mintage for the capped bust dime series, and the second toughest date after the 1822.
@Realone
@EastonCollection
You two win! Nice stuff!

My apologies for bringing back an old thread. However, since this thread concerns early dimes and 1809 dimes specifically, one of my favourite dates, it really piqued my interest.
I live in Germany and have been collecting early U.S coins for a long time, focusing mainly on early coppers and early dimes.
These are the three examples of the 1809 dime which I have been able to find, two of them locally. You will see that they are not prime examples, being in low grades and/or with defects, but are still reasonable examples of this scarce first year of issue.
Here is one that happens to be for sale. PM me if interested.
Please forgive me for posting here instead of the buy, sell, trade forum but couldn’t resist as it is an 1809 dime thread.

A: The year they spend more on their library than their coin collection.
A numismatist is judged more on the content of their library than the content of their cabinet.
