Sure. Currently working on a 7070 and Canadian large cent album. Several other album sets are either complete or dormant. My XF/better Buffalo set and my 3 silver proof sets, early Roosevelts, early Washingtons and silver state quarters, (all complete) are in Capital plastic holders and my best varieties are slabbed.
Proud recipient of the coveted "You Suck Award" (9/3/10).
Most of my coins are still in blue Whitman folders, as that's how I started, and my grandpa's coins are in his blue folders as well.
My better coins are in 2x2 holders, and I have 4 slabs.
I am mostly into circulated coins and can grade those myself.
I started with coin folders in my teens almost 50 years ago. Moved to slabs in my 40's and 50's and now I'm moving back to folders. If it's not a key date coin, I actually prefer it raw.
I Have all of the Whitman albums that I had upgraded as a teenager. I have Dansco albums for holed and circ commemorates and also for circ Barbers and Seated halves.
Where is the fun and history in a bunch of scratched pieces of plastic? Or, in not being able to touch and enjoy the history of the coin because I'm scared to death if I accidentally mishandle or drop the coin it will suffer some minute damage that ruins its' value? Give me an album, that displays well, with coins of character and history that I can touch and enjoy in the comfort of my home? Un-plasticized circulated coins in albums still display the minters art. Just old-fashion I guess.
I did initially in 1998 when I resumed collecting. I bought Whitman folders for all the circulating denominations at the time. Made a totally lame attempt to fill it out of circulation finds, quickly grew bored with it and never made much progress. I still have all of it somewhere.
Almost exclusively STILL filling blue Whitman tri-fold folders started as a youth............ Wish I'd started a large-cent folder back then...................
I have three Roosevelt sets for each of my kids. All unc toners, one set I bought complete that is very old with peach/ champagne color toning on them all. The other two are all toners. Just about done with both after many years of hunting and not paying a huge premium for the color.
I do. My statehood quarter set has been in danscos for almost 20 years now. I would buy proof sets from the meant and break them up to put them right into the album.
I can’t wait to see what the new generation of .999 fine silver coins will do after 10 years in a cardboard album.

Yes - I like the older blue Whitman albums - it was fun to find coins that were all similar color, especially the cents. I also collect from circulation in Harris folders, the kind that are "free form". Makes it easier when the mint pivots with things like "W" quarters in circulation

All of my daughters collection is in Whitmans. Finished the Jefferson nickels. Mercury dimes are next but running into some road blocks. Just picked up one for 1 cent in the Ebay coupon offer.
The first time I walked into a coin shop to ask what all this coin collecting was about the guy asked me a few questions about what coins I’d heard about what designs did I like etc. Since I didn’t know much about any of it, he recommended a type set. He happened to have a never used Littleton type set album that is a 7070 clone and I’ve been hooked ever since! I have slabbed too and struggle with over reaching because I like everything, but truly filling albums is my favorite and I now have my original Littleton that’s about 70% complete, plus I’ve picked up Dansco 7070, A couple Lincoln albums, and a Liberty Seated Quarters album that’s currently empty . I love the Dansco, I’m sure someday I’ll have a shelf of nothing but half filled Dansco albums and I’ll be very pleased with myself.

I've got 2 Danscos
7070 which gets a couple coins a year, but at least the gold page is done!
7460 Japan Type, completed, which led to a 'slabbed' version because some coins were just too nice to crack. (ATS custom set).
That 7010 sounds like a very nice option for someone like me...world crowns. @ShadyDave I'm glad you posted it. I've seen the words but never thought of a way to do it (and never thought about an album...a gaping hole in my thought process).
I do have a tendency to buy coins slabbed and crack them, probably 1/3 of the ones in either album were done that way. I have up to $500-ish coins in the album, but won't put anything (other than a modern commems) that started of blast white or red. Both albums are in 'archival' sleeves and stuck in an Intercept Keepsake box.
Nothing wrong with cracking for an album. I was buying the last gold coin I needed for that page and found a $10 Indian head I liked in a PCGS MS-63 slab with a CAC sticker. Seller looked like he was about to have a stroke when I told him it was getting cracked

So what do you do? Toss your coins in a large trunk?
2X2s, airtites, or envelopes
I have the remnants of my 7070 still. I also have Lincoln cents and a few odds and ends in 2x2's. Most all of my slabbed coins were sold.

My set of American Silver Eagles goes into an album.
My Buffalo collection of the coins not slabbed
Agree. Except my Buff collection is in an Eagle Album. I can remove them at any time to view them.

Nearly all of my collection is in albums now a days. I'm partial to Library of Coins albums. They make me happy.
Beautiful look on all three of those!
Yes! Peace Dollars, Buffalo Nickels, and a Type Set. I've not found an eye-appealing way to photograph an album, so no pictures. Sorry.

Collect raw morgans, walkers, mercs, SLQ, barber q. Looking at getting into earlier date coins pre 1900s.

The last set I did was the Statehood Quarters which was a lot of fun. I might do some more circulation sets in the future.
Doing the West Point circulation quarters could be fun.
Thank you
