My first PSA jumbo holders and a question for collectors
Hi guys, I (finally) got back a jumbo sub from PSA. My portion of the sub included these 4 items for my player registries. Each is the first graded copy of that item. I particularly love the Caprolan Gino and the 1969 Yaz.
Please check out the scans below, but here's my question. I have a really nice Epson scanner, but these massive slabs are too wide and tall for the scanner bed. For those of you who own jumbo items, have you found a way to get really nice images of them? The below are well lit and I tried to get the squarest/straightest pics I could without showing a reflection of my ugly mug. Any tips on a better process?

Can't give any help Dan.
Pics look nice and the holders really make the photos look super.
I assume you'll be putting them up on display?
What's the height of the entire holder and size of the Yaz pic?
I've used this CamScanner phone app from this Mouschi thread below and was pretty happy with the results. I would say though that using the app on my daughter's Iphone had better quality pics than using it on my Samsung. Try it out it's free.

Awesome Erik, thanks for the tip!
Mike, i’ll need to get back to you on exact dimensions, but if memory serves me right, the 71 Yaz photo is an 8x10

Beautiful jumbos. Unfortunately, I'm too stupid to scan a piece of cheese, so I can't help you there, but the jumbos are masterpieces.
You did a great job. Handling the lighting and reflections is always tough.
My scanner is horrible so I'm currently stuck with bad scans or bad pictures. I did build this rig to hold my phone at a constant location, but I haven't gotten the lighting part figured out yet. A project for another day.

I played with the app a few minutes and it seems decent. It scans to PDF. Are we able to post PDFs here on CU? If not, can I change the file type in the app?

Dan, those look great, I love the Yaz photos!
I usually just take the pic then send it from my gmail account (phone) to my yahoo account (laptop) so I can edit it on my PC before uploading it online. I haven't used it in awhile so I suggest just spending some more time with it until you figure it out entirely. You can try testing out pics in this section if you want:

The size of the holder is 9-3/4 x 13-1/4.
I scan mine with my old work copy/scan/print xerox machine.
